What type of cage are you looking for? I doubt you are going to find one in kit form that will pass nhra tech, I'm not even sure it is possible. The back down bars will be the weird ones.

I used a kit for an EG... You can pull off putting the main hoop up where the cubbies are and still pull the angle you need for the rear bars to be legal, if you remove the back window. I use a piece of lexan. Otherwise, you can run the main hoop right behind the seats. That's how I would do it if I were to cage another sol. The rear bars really are a pain in the *** if you want to keep the window motor. It could be done if you cut out the bottom of the window panel, but you'd lose the full motion of the glass.

I did a search for this for a while. I have a Del Sol also, and have been tossing around ideas on which way to go with the cage setup. There is a pre-bent kit from S&W now I'm pretty sure. When I was searching I read about someone providing their del sol to the company as a mockup car.

Edit from later on:

I just found this searching for some other stuff. Check out this del sol for sale...some descent pics of his cage...no through the window.

The rear bars on that cage are not mounted high enough to pass NHRA specs. They have to be within something like 2-4 inches of the top of the main hoop... It might pass for some weekend track events, but nothing competative.

Wow, not for nothing, but I wouldnt trust that bar for anything. The read downbars might as well not even be there! The worst thing about a bar like that is nobody will realize its wrong until the car is flipped or get into a bad accident. Thats when you hear the "but I didnt know." Ill build one for ya!

check my sig. I mocked up the front of my roll bar. The previous one is not legal for quite a few reasons. Mine may not be welded in but if you read how it will be adjusted....that will be legal for most organizations.
