I have a pretty basic stock 2000 Gs-R with I/H/E and Skunk2 Intake Manifold.

Lately it's been stalling when I have the A/C on. It'll stall and then it's REALLY hard to start back up. When the a/c isn't on it idles around 700-800RPM. With the A/C it drops to about 250RPM and then just dies.

Adjusted the idle on TB and it's still doing the same thing.

I live in Florida and I can't drive around ALL summer with no a/c!!

Please help with any suggestions on what might be the culprit!

maybe the idle air control valve isnt doing its job? but i dont know why it would be hard to start. any CELs?

 

Another possible cause is the voltage regulator in you alternator....get it check out for free.

 

Man, my buddy accord is doing the same thing he called me today to go see it, any more ideas what might cause this??

 

No cel's. Gonna clean the iacv and see if that helps.

my idle drops but no stall, have been troubleshooting it but havent found a definite answer yet.

 

Still have the problem after everything. Not as bad since I cleaned the IACV. If I ever figure out what is causing this stupid problem I'll post....

 

My son has the same problem, but he is running a built LS with crower 404's. He
simply turns the A/C off while at idle and turns it back on when driving. Even with
a dyno we were not able to make it work at idle. Good luck!
