Default Opinions on Greddy Type R BOV?

I just wanted to check out the quality, design, sound etc. of the Greddy Type R BOV Std. spring, low boost around 6-7psi? Overkill? I'm a fan of the Type S and I found a really good deal on a Type R so I'm just trying to decide. I ran the Type S on my previous two boosted Honda's so I may "upgrade" to the Type R possibly.
Thanks a lot.

The type r is for high boost applications. Probably barely open up w/ 6-7psi. Dont do it unless you like compressor surge.

I have spoke with a few greddy reps about this over the last week. The type R blow off valve is not recommended for applications of under 20psi. Now obviously that will vary with the size of the turbo and corresponding cfm. With the standard spring, they recommend you be making at least 300hp on a honda to get the valve to open. Otherwise it will stay shut and cause compressor surge. I was told that some dsm guys are seeing the the type S BOV will hold 25psi. I went with the type R, but I'm going to be cranking out ~500hp at the track with some luck.

At 6-7psi, stay with the type S.
