inline fuel pumps

Default inline fuel pumps

where do you guys install your inline pumps at? i heard they won't let you race at the track with the pump on the firewall. just getting ideas where you guys put them. thanks!

i never heard of that but mine is installed on my strut bar. i used electrical tape around the strut bar to help eliminate some vibration.

I thought the idea was to keep the in-line as close to the fuel rail as possible, to keep the pressure high?

I've seen alot of setups mounted on the upper pipe going into the throttle body.

I always heard this was the preferred method. Something about inline pumps being better "pushers" than "pullers".

I guess you're talking about a booster pump which would need to be mounted in the engine bay near the fuel rail. Some people are confusing an in-tank pump with a booster pump.

If you have a B series engine, the best spot is right above the transmission/starter. Look for a single bolt near the starter, make a bracket to hold your pump, and bolt it up. All the noise coming from the pump is absorbed and it is perfectly situated between the filter and rail.
