Timing belt question.
Just a quick question, how often should I replace my timing belt and water pump ? I just got a JDM b18c from HMO and was just wondering. I was thinking around 40k?

hahah nah man, you should be good with 90K intervals. Older engines from cars in the late 80's/early 90's had 60K t-belt intervals, but newer cars are 90K or even longer.
What patrick said is true, however, who really knows what the mileage is on a JDM motor? If it were mine, I'd replace it to have the peace of mind.

Well sure I would replace it when first receiving a JDM engine with unknown history, but after that he can go 90K before changing it again.
<-- almost time for my car's THIRD timing belt change
