98ex motor into 98 dx coupe??????
im going to be doing a 98 ex swap into a 96 dx coupe. i have been looking for answers to my questions but i cant find them so ill ask you guys.........
i have the wiring harness for the ex motor and everything else thats needed!
i was just wondering if it would be a straight plug and play swap? im pretty sure it is im just not sure about the wiring, but if i have the ex wiring harness and a complete ex motor, would'nt be a straight plug and play swap?

yes if you have the harness it will be a direct bolt in considering you have a 96 and the new motor is a 98 both being obd2a you will not need to convert the computer wiring harness you can just plug in the ex computer.
so if i have a d16y8 engine and engine harness to match i can plug it into the plugs at firewall and just plug up the 96 civic vtec ecu its a done deal??? i guess my main question is are the wires ran to the computer from the fire wall plugs with vtec lines and whatever else you need to run vtec, or am i gonna have to tap a wire somewhere into the ecu????
you will have to run the two wires for vtec and one wire for the knock sensor
