Default B16 IM OBD0 Issues

I took a look at my B16 swap yesterday, on the IM I have a broken vacume tube splitter, and the one on the trottle body. Now ive searched around and cant find anything on what these do. I have asked a few people and they said its all for emissions and that I can just put a block off plate where the IM one broke off. What my question is will this affect the engine at all?

Thanks for the help. Guess I'll find out in a few days when the engine is put in.
