B16 or not
I'm getting a '96 Civic with a "supposed" b16 engine swap. I know the block will have a code stapped on it for ID purposes, but I need to know where it is and if it will simply say B16 or some crap like AJ5NA890123BJK16. I did a search, but only found info on D series motors. Any info will help and sorry for the newbie post before the flaming begins. I know very little about Hondas. Thanks.

Re: B16 or not (=GAMEOVER=)
Well, look at the motor...does it say DOHC on the valve cover or anything? Find a pic of a D series....is it as 'slinder' as a SOHC? if so...its not a B ...its its wider ....its a dohc. look kinda by the thermostat....under...on the block it should say B16, B18, D16 ....it will have numbers after the D16, or b16/18 like an example ...a D will say something like D16y7 or D16y8 (came in 96-00 civic's)
