air filter
changing the original air filter to a KNN look a like (autozone filters) is this good or bad??? I have a93 civic HB. so I change the original filter but I dint remove the intake tube. only the filter. is that ok? or do I also need to change the intake? Is this also gives you more HP???? thanks.
Using a drop-in style K&N filter is just fine. Don't expect any power gains from it, though. If you want power, you're going to need to do some research and budgeting before you start throwing your money away.

Look-a-likes usually are good for one thing - making chinese factories money, and getting you into the parts store. Other than that, the quality will be far below that needed to net you any gains.
Only reason to change to non-oem is for noise, looks, or because you can't run it (IE turbocharged).
