I just noticed this today, because i am rarely hard on the car... but i noticed the VTEC set at 5k was not kicking in and yet there is no CEL... has anyone expeiranced this... I dont really no where to start looking if there is no CEL to guide me in the right direction.... help would b greatly appreciated...

check to see if your cel bulb is even functioning.

did you check for the other conditions? such as low oil.

 

do a search. Topic covered so many times.

check for oil pressure @ the solenoid, check grounds, blah blah. Do a search

oh reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy because the search wont read "no" and when u type in VTEC its goes to a shitload of FS stuff.... and even if i do find something its usually douches like u saying "Search!" ... but ya thanks to the first dude who actually had something usefull to say

 

are you using a vtec controller my friends vtec never worked on his dc2 and it had no cel and i took off his vtec controller and vtec worked found out that vc was burnt so if u have a vc on and its no good vtec wont work
