I'll just assume this guy is without a clue:

Do you mean cold air vs short ram?

If you favor response, short ram. If you favor a miniscule amount more HP, cold air. I'd have to warn you that there is a slight risk with cold air intakes of taking in water, and harming your engine, but that's a worst case scenario.

But either way, I would suggest getting the one that saves you the most money. Intakes don't do so much that you need to spend a lot of money on them.

You don't live in Cali, so I don't know if you need an emissions sticker. If you do need one, you'll have to spend a bit more for an intake from like AEM or something.

IMO, get a K&N filter, and remove the resonator on your stock airbox.

It'll make a cool noise, be safe, and give you what you can expect from an intake.

Yes, about 1 whp.

My buddy used the short ram on his gsr swapped 99 dx and he just made simple bracket out of some aluminum strap for the lower mount.

Any pipe for a '92-'00 civic should work fine.

nope. you have to take into account the gsr's lower tb positioning. aem makes hybrid intakes if that's the way you want to go.

lol i wasnt payin attention when i was writing. so let em rewrite it
best fitting one would be the AEM hybrid series wich are for cars with swaps in them . but regular intake for eg would work to short ram or cold air

you still dont get it. unless the OP has a single runner intake manifold a civic intake will not fit his b18c1 because of it's lower tb positioning.
