Default Click sound and it won't start...

Hey guys, I have a B18C5 in a 97 LS and I get a click sound and nothing. I already checked the battery and starter and everything's good. My check engine light comes up so the ECU is powered and I can actually hear de fuel pump. The engine doesn't crank at all. Anybody else with the same problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

if the battery and starter are good and its not turning over, the only other thing i can think of is you seized your motor

Check your battery cable connections. Mine did the same thing and it ended being a corroded terminal.

The car actually runs. It will start after a couple of tries. I drive the car everyday and it runs perfectly fine.

Starter solenoid?

Same thing happened to my car, so I went old school and hit the starter with a pipe wrench. Now it starts every time. Not even joking.

When did it die? Did something happen the last time it worked?

The starter is brand new. I just bought it today and installed the damn thing and nothing. It's still doing the same thing it did with the old one.

I meant the car, not the starter. Did the car run before you did something? Is this a brand new swap?

It's not a brand new swap. It was working fine. I changed the clutch a while ago but I checked the ground from the tranny and it's clean and properly grounded.
