Default grounded rcas

I'm rippin apart my stereo to figure something out and saw the rcas from my amp which is connected to my front door speakers, are grounded. Someone slid a bit of wire into the end of the rca and then connected it to the deck rca, pinching it, and then wired it to the chasis. What is that for, does it even need to be like that?

There are many trick and styles of rca's. If you start with a good pair of rca you will not need to buy ones that need to be grounded. Its a market gimick to make people buy them. Even thou you can get rid of signal noice that ways sometimes.

I used to work with monster cables that had those. Never had to use them though and typically you won't as long as it is a good intsall.
