Although the Type-R did come with more HP from the factory than any other model integra, thats not why the Type-R is such a special car. Its more than just a motor.

But to answer your question, i do believe IM, Headers, Exhaust, Intake, Cams and a tune would easily get you past the OEM WHP of a Type-r

There are mods you can do to easily exceed the stock power of an ITR, but there are many other significant factors which set the ITR above and beyond the traditional Integra. So in a nutshell, your car will never be "basicalyy a type r."

A "Poor mans Type R" is a b18c1 (GSR) block mated with a B16 head. A b18c5 (ITR) head uses the same casting as a B16, with different valvetrain components and a factory port and polish - which explains the name "Poor Man's ITR."

What it will take YOUR engine to exceed an ITR's power level is hard to say, every motor responds to mods a little different. There are too many variables that come into play. I assume you have a GSR, just focus on making your car what you want it to be and forget about how close you can get to an ITR. Just my .02

i belive the GSR has somewhere around 170 hp, and the R has a little more compression and is rated at i belive 195, but dont quote me, im just a newb.

and as stated before there are so many more differences in the type R, mainly the handling and suspension, and i belive the frame itelf has more support.

(edit) and again, just correct me if im wrong, im just a newb.
