Wiring trouble
Ok so I need some wiring help. My ride has a pioneer premier head unit that is already wired up. The car didn't come with rear speakers though, but had front door speakrs and tweeters. The way the guy had it wired, he had the tweeters hooked up to the 'rear' wires on the head unit. The front door speakers were then hooked to an amp and the rca from the amp is hooked to the MID/REAR rca on the head unit. I want to add rear speakers cause it bugs me. There is a FRONT rca cables unused, and then there are the FRONT wires from the headunit (grey and white pairs).
Could someone help me figure this out. I just want to add the rear speakers but don't know what to do and don't want to start rippin the wiring apart until I'm sure. The rear speakers I'm adding aren't going to be powered by an amp either, only the front ones, as they already are.

looks like you should have fronts to rca fronts and tweeters to front wires then last rears to rca rears. Go online an look up your model head unit at pioneer premier. They should have the manual you can download in adobe I guess and then see exactly how to do it. I have a premier also. I could look for the manual ater an check the hook up. But go to pioneer first an see if you can download it. Good luck
Yea that's what I was thinking, but the REARs wouldn't go to rcas cause they aren't going to be powered by an amp. Is it ok to hook the tweeters to the front speaker connectins coming out of the head unit. I tried to hook the rear speakers to the rear wires (grey white) while the fronts were hooked to the REAR/MID rcas, and no sound came out of them. I'm assuming if somethign is hooked to the rcas then those corresponding speakers won't work (wired to the REAR wires)
Bump I just need to know what to do about the tweeters, do i tap then into the front speakers (fronts are hooked to the amp, or what?) there are crossovers in the doors for the tweeters if that matters.
