Default compression test... correct way?

which is the correct way to test the compression of the motor?

do you just let the car idle until its fully warmed? or do you drive it around first, rip it a couple of time to build up heat and pressure, and then test it?

if i drive it like hell right before i test it, i get 250/245. if i just let it idle to operating temp, i only get 240/235 in all cylinders

those numbers are good man, my GSR is only getting like 180 across the board. Probably because it has 166k on it but thats besides the point lol.

Different gauges read out differently. It is not about how low or high your numbers are, but more of how close together the individual cylinders are.

BTW, 94typeR... How's my IM/TB?
