how to get shift linkage apart from tranny

I have a 91 crx si with a d16. i pulled the spring pin out and the linkage is not pulling apart from tranny, any suggestions? is there a trick to it?

sometimes its just a matter of shaking it back and forth or taking a hammer a little bit i guess to the linkage it will come off tho

take out the pin - remove the bolt holding the torque rod, and it should come right out

Ack removed the tranny without taking off the shift linkage and the linkage came out of the hangar!
