B16 or stock w/ turbo??
I just bought this really sick 90 crx si stock and was wondering if it was a better idea to do a swap for a b16 or keep the original engine and install a turbo. i need feedback...take in consideration the price to do each one and the performance you get out of it.
Like Manny said, do some research, I guarantee theres a wealth of information on this type of swap here.
As for value, a turbo D will net a better bang for the buck, if medicore turbo equipment is used. As for potential, I'm a fan of the B. You can always turbo that later...

is this going to be a DD, track car, or autoX. B16's are lacking on the torque curve, so power down low is limited. Alot of people turbo their D series and pull decent numbers. There's lots of information on b16 swaps pro's/con's in the FAQ section. Might want to check that out.
I don't know how much it would cost to turbo a D-series, but I had a friend who did a b16a swap in his ed9 and he spent close to $3000 i think. But he did motor, tranny, lsd, clutch, flywheel, hasport mounts, shift linkage, preventative maintence.
Hope this helped, good luck.

A b16 in such a heavy car will only net a few tenths of a second off. What do you mean by sick? Like sick awsum or sick like dying. Either way you can piece together a great turbokit for under $2000 rebuild bottom end you have a nice b16 killing car. check out homemadeturbo.com

gsr block on an lsvtec removes the ls block, kinda a part of an lstvtec....
Please help honda tech more by blendering your hands then, posting bad info and gibberish like this.
Comparing all the 4th gens yes the crx si is heavy, still over all it's a light car. You don't just ls vtec that ****.... it's not that simple. D series are great and can make some awesome power built right, I was just helping a friend on his turbo D that makes my Camaro a wee bit nervous.
Going with some short of B series?
Honestly, I want to hear a GREAT reason why you posted this pile of misinformation. No, wait, I want to see the medical records showing where you got that labotomy.
