Default check engine light

About two weeks ago i replaced the head gasket on my 95 honda civic 1.5 liter engine. The car would not start, I discovered there was a problem with the distributor. I replaced the distributor and the car finally got started but the timing was off. I rotated the camshaft so that everything was aligned correctly and the car started perfectly.

Now my problem is trying to get rid of that check engine light!! How do I get rid of that check engine light?

Find out what code your throwing, or else you'll be doing that everyday, fix the problem, don't avoid it.

were the random ones corresponding like long ones and then short so you could check the number?? im thinking for some reason your abs is showing you the code instead of your cel light. or are they completely random as in are they not giving you a number to look up in that link?

I have a similar problem my damn SRS light flashes instead of the CEL. See if you can get a code from those flashes.
