Default Which is Shorter? sir1 or teg int. shaft

trying to finish up an ls swap into my 85 civic hatch and ran intoa bit of trouble with the drivers side axle, as it appears to be around 1" too long. axle is an 86-89 integra unit. so my question is.

what is the shortest b series axle, and what is the shortest b series int. shaft?

after searching im under the impression the shortest b axle is the 86-89 integra and the shorest int. shaft is the sir1

im changing my ball joint out for an 86-89 and it should give me 1/4 inch, but i fear its not enough,

Look at the bracket on the intermediate shaft, there is a casting code stamped into it. If the casting code is SH3, it is 1" longer than the Integra style (SK7).
