Maybe Changing My Pistons, Would Like Some Input (Nippon Racing)
I sometimes tend to get ahead of my self when im faced with problems with my car. Well its been smoking between the head and the block and ive been told it may be that the rings are bad so I began to do some research and checked out Ebay. I found a set of Nippon Performance Racing Pistons, along with rings and a complete gasket set for $300 which IMO is one hell of a deal. I was wondering if anyone had personal experiences with these pistons and how well they perform. It is said to raise my stock compression of my B16a to a 10.95:1 and seeing as how my head is milled a bit it may be in the 11's which my Skunk2 Stage2's would love
. I was also considering purchasing a spoon sports 2 piece head gasket for NA motors to bump that bad boy up a bit more. Now aside from all that talk would I still be good on the OEM B16 rods? The car is going to be a daily driver so I dont want to over do it but I want something that can get up and go too. Open to all input

do a compression/leakdown test before u buy any parts. u can get p30's standard and oversized with wristpins and rings for like 300$. then another 60 for the complete bottom end gasket kit and its all oem. does it smoke at start up or on long runs and acel or deceleration.
