ok this is what i have currently and its no longer hitting enough. i want some more bass.
i have alpine CDA-9805 single output
Bazooka EL series seems to be a 8 or 10 inch.
Alpine MRV-f302 amplifier.
ok i had this setup when i bought the car. so i left it in there. as far as i know, the amp powers the speakers, and there are some RCA cables going to the bazooka. the tube seems to have an internal amp....correct me if i'm wrong. what is the best method for me to switch my sub. is there a way for me just get another bazooka tube that will kick a little harder? the tube i have now doesn't have the normal sub connections, power and ground but has a electrical connector, and RCA cable. if there is a way that i can just get antoher bazooka tube that can kick harder i rather do that. what about the tubes that do not have internal amp? how do they work?
if i get another sub not a bazooka tube. i want to keep the MRVF302 to power my speakers. if i get another deck, is all i have to do is just connect one amp for the speakers to one of the outputs, and the other output to another AMP for my sub? i'm not that good with radio, elctronics. any help would be great.

Are you concerned with room. A proper set up 10 tube will sound nice. Your not going to win any spl contest, but will provide you with some nice thump in the trunk. What you have now in a powered tube. If your looking for more bass its time that you step up and get a sub enclosure.
The EL series was a 100W amplified sub, SAS has a 200W series... http://www.sasbazooka.com/prod...d=256

well room i don't really care about...but like i said i would rather do the easiest path to harder hitting bass. my EL does punch a little but only if u sit on the inside, and is not clean. i mean it is probably at leaset 8 years old. i had the car for 4 yrs myself and hasn't changed anything. would the SAS be a direct swithc over, all connections will be the same? would it sound a lot better? i mean i don't need something thats gonna hit REALLY HARD but def more then what mines is hitting now.

well thanks guys...i found out my deck actually has three preamp outputs
so yesterday i took apart the center console and rip out the deck. two of the RCA cables are going to my current AMP for front and rear speakers. i plugged in another RCA cable to the last output and used my friends sub to test it out and it works....so i guess all i need know is another amp/sub combo.
the last question i have is...since i'm gonna be running probabky only 200 watt sub. can i just get the power and remote turn on from the amp that i have now? wat i mean is instead of running the wires again, can i just plug the wires into the current amp, and run it to my new amp powering the sub? thats what i did when i tested it and it worked perfectly.

You could, it's called daisy chaining, it is not the proper way to power a second amp, especially a sub amp, for best performance out of both amps, run a new power lead for the sub amp, you can daisy chain the amp control lead from the othe amp.

Run another power wire for the new sub amp.
You can run the amp control lead from your existing amp to the new sub amp.
Do not run a power wire from existing amp to new sub amp.
Do not run a power wire from the new sub amp to the existing amp.
You can and should ground the new sub amp to the same spot that the existing amp is grounded, not to the existing amp, but where the existing amp is grounded to the cars chassis, but keep the ground leads as short as possible.

ok thanks FCM
i'll try to run a new power wire for the new sub amp.
for the ground why would grounding it to the same chassis spot be the best? the two amps are going to be in different locations...so i was thinking of grounding it seprately...but both somewhere on the car chassis...

yea...well one is under my seat, and is like less then a feet away from the amp. my other amp will be somehwere in the trunk and will be as short as possible...so i think i'm gonna go that route.
