Default Gas door Idea

Considering how well the Rsx type S does on gas efficiency, I've got a great idea for my gas door. I just got done shaving the door handles and now i wanna do something to the gas door. I'm probably going to fill my tank to full and then shave the gas door off. Anyone think it's a good idea? Has anyone done it to their Type S?
