what weight tranny fluid?
i heard that if the weight and something else arent right it will wear the gears in time .
I want to get redline or that B&M **** , but dont know what weights to get . . . help?

Honda MTF II is my friend. No different weights.

 

i dont know though, it has its days where it doesnt shift as smooth as i like and i already had to get a new trans becuase the syncros and what not. i just think for the beatign its taking , it might need something else. they wont cover the next one under warranty

Just change it more often. 15k miles or less. Less if you track it.

i think im on 11-12K since i put my clutch in and replaced the fluid last.

 

I change MTF every 10k... if you want to try something different, the only thing other than Honda MTF I would recommend is BGSynchroshift. Good stuff... but Honda MTF does just fine for me.

 

thats what it was bg , i said b&m . . ooops. aight, illchange it with honda stuff again and see if that helps. i just feel soo bad for this tranny they suck as it is and mines is taking one hell of a beating . all kinsd of wheel hop, hard launches and hard *** shifts. i dont see it lasting too much longer. im more pesamistic since the syncros already went and 5th gear at like 6500 miles or so . and the clutch was rocked right about then too .

 

If you drive your R like you stole it, then maybe you should change your MTF a lot sooner than 10k miles.

hahahaha, i drive it like i stole it alright. i feel soo bad for it . but i cant help it . its so addictive. i almost sold it a while ago , then went on a joy ride and hit vtec and changed my mind. . . that always seesm to happe when i think i wanna sell it or cant afford it anymore . the ride changes everything

 

I change it before every track day. Sometimes every other month.

Overkill? I dont mind doing it, so I dont think its over kill.
