Hey all need a little advice.. just before I order my ARP head studs.

I talked to ARP and they said they have two products for b16’s


Short ( for the b16a)
part number 208 4601

long (for the b16a2)

My problem is that im using a b16a block and everything else is off a b16a2 ( including the head) apart from je pistons/rings and eagle rods.

Does anyone know if the difference in the bolts is in the head thus I order the b16a2 bolts, or if the difference is in the blocks, so I should order the b16a kit )

I talked to Honda Australia, and they seemed to think there was no block difference, and the only difference was in the head, I plan to call ARP tomorrow again and ask if the studs are different in length at the block end or at the head end..but also wanted you guys thoughts on this matter.

ARP also wanted me to measure my block and head.. thus calculate what I need, but my block is begin sleeved in one work shop, and my head’s in another… and I want these studs shipped by Friday because my brother already has a shipping of stuff coming out to Australia.. lol if only there was more time.. Actually if only you could fast forward and reverse time.

WOAH.....i think your making things a little too difficult for yourself. I have a B16A2 and I had to use B18C ARP head studs because thats all they had available back then. I guess they started making some for B16's although I am almost positive there is no difference between any B16 block and the studs should be the same for every B16. Those prices are also kind of steep. Call around, you should get them for about 100.00 bucks.
