Curious got this welding mask its says ratings UV protection up to 16(DIN)

NM answered my own question lol

 

my mask is a 12 and its really dark ,i can barley see past the light with my hobart ,but can see fine with my little hobby stick welder lol i cant remember if the higher the number the darker it goes. but damn if its higher thats freakin dark


im pretty sure the higher the darker because my buddies miller auto dark mask is a 9 and it seems perfect for mig welding

 

yeah i set this one at 10 with under 100 amps and man its sooo clear. I love it i can actualy see my **** lol

Its a Power Fist its from Princess Auto its like Haurbor Frieght it was $55cdn . i was looking at the Lincoin ones **** there nice but $200cdn on sale

 

great thats cheap for a auto dark mask ,im going to have to go to this place,my buddy goes there all the time and buys a tons of stuff for cheap lol

as for his mask he has one of those american chooper ones ,the paul Jr one ,sexy as hell ,but way to much money for me lol i drop my mask all the time and get spatter on it ,it would be pointless getting one of the fancy ones

There are lots of topics about cheap auto darking hoods look it up.Lots of people complaining about getting flashed and such. I think most would close thier eyes for a bit cause the response times weren't good.

 

This one is set on slow and its fast i do not get any arc flash at all
