Default Getting B20B Vtec to pass smog @ state referee station

I need help in getting my B20b vtec to pass state referee smog. Referee says visual is fine just need to pass emissions. I already put new plugs, oil, distributor, cap, rotor, wires, external coil, msd sci box, and converted top end to 99 Si Spec. Any info would help!!!!

you live in california, it's 100% illegal to have a light truck motor in your car.

referee says they consider it a 1.8L block and don't consider what it came out of as long as it can pass emission's test.

You must be good buddies with the REF then. Congrats.
It is a 1.8 block, though it's stroked as a 2.0L. Technically is has 2.0 L of displacement.

Thats what everyone tells me about the ref saying its visually ok but emissions wise its not passing and they won't tell me much. Its right on the verge of passing but I don't know what else I can do to get it to pass so I can get the Carb Sticker so when I get pulled over I can rub it in the cops face. But I dont think that is going to happen. Ha ha

What state referee told you passing visual for a B20VTEC wouldnt be a problem? I would love to meet this guy and have a couple words with him about the system if he found a loop hole to make a light truck engine pass in a commuter car.

Now if this is a smog station, where its just a simple test only or check then yea they dont care.

B20, B20VTEC, LSVTEC, mix and match heads, wont pass.
