Getting a B20b Vtec to pass state referee smog test
I need help to get my 99 ex coupe to pass state referee smog test. Referee says visual is fine but I need to pass emissions test. I need to lower the hydro carbon level. I already put new oil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor, external coil, sci msd ignition box, and converted the top end to 99 Si spec, and running 99 si Ecu. Any info would help. Thanks

retard the timming right out of the motor and raise the idle to 1200-1300rpm
worked for me but i just did an idle test.

What about the O2 sensor and catalytic converter? How fresh are they? Running rich will degrade their performance to a point where it effects driveability/emissions but doesn't throw a code.
