Default What the easiest way to Install a new Tranny?

So i got my little hands on a good b16 tranny..

i wan tot drop it in my 89' civic hatchback si

my old one was completely dead. no 3rd OR 4th gear.

so what are some DO's and DONT's when install a new tranny?

All i can think of, is to just label everything so i can put it back together easily.

do i need to take the whole motor out? or just lift one side.?

Just keep in mind that 3 of the 4 engine mouts are on the tranny.
You can do it yourself but if it's your first time, get a friend to help you and definitely use a jack to support the engine
Before you jack the car, remove the two axle nuts, those can be hard to remove.
It's not hard, but there are a lot of steps.

I have found that pulling the motor and tranny in one unit and the swapping the trannys is the easiest way to go on these cars. I have done it by blocking up the motor and pulling just the tranny but it was a BIG pain and took longer. I can pull the motor and tranny in about 1 HR.
