which d-series hydro tranny has the loggest gears DX CX EX?
the title is as it says I have been search for hours in recent and archived and can't seem to find an answer so some help would be apreaciated before I throw my computer thru a window. Thanks in advance.
I know the that dx cx and ex aren't transmission code but I'm still learning and need to be schooled

well im pretty sure that what we call em, but i believe the cx has the longest, than comes the dx, and the ex has the shortest of those three
I thought that it went, cx/vx, hx, dx, ex. Does anybody know if I am correct here. My hx is like 2150 going 55. Damn, so many x's

Nope, bout the same from my experiences.
Friends hatch used to have the d15b8 (cx motor), we could get that thing to 80mph in second gear at its redline of 6200 or so.

When I had my VX I was able to go 40 in first and 70 in second.. lol.
what are the diffrence in serial number's/markings between the cx/dx/ex trannys? I just swapped my vx for a d16z6 w/ what i thought was a z6 tranny and clutch, but when i was dropping it in i was told that the tranny was a dx tranny because of the markings.. the shifting points don't feel like what i would think a dx tranny feels like. what are the shifting points on a dx or ex trannys? when im going 60 on the highway i am at about 2750 rpm in 5th. I'm thinking that the guy who told me that was wrong but could it be a dx?
