They go in this order from worst to best (as far as shortness of gearing goes).
VX
Cx/Dx
Si/Ex
Vx has a different code then Cx and Dx. Do you just have the tranny? It really doesn't matter because in the end it's still going to be slow as **** . If your gonna put this tranny on your car think twice about it. I am in the middle of ripping my slow Dx tranny out and throwing in a Si. You WILL be sorry you put it in because a month or two down the road, your gonna want a Si/Ex tranny. Trust me being in 3rd and going 100km/h gets old really fast .

Re: (PK SPEED)
Lol, perhaps my question wasn't very clear.
I know that I have a 92-95 D-Series Hydro Trannsmission.
I also know that it is NOT Ex/Si
Therefore it is either Dx/Cx/Vx as per the stamp in the casting.
My question is this.....
How can I determine which of the 3 my tranny is, either Dx/Cx/Vx since they ALL carry the exact same casting stamp????

Re: (nocternaldragon)
I have looked at the casting marks....
Taken from MistaBones Page http://home.cinci.rr.com/mistab0ne/tranny.html
You can tell a DX/CX/VX tranny from a EX/Si by numbers cast into the housing. Just above the filler plug is a set of numbers.
P20/A000 is for DX/CX/VX
P20/B000 is for EX/Si
MY tranny has P20/A000 as the casting, therefor it is EITHER DX/CX/VX
The tranny is NOT in a car, and I dont know what car it came out of.......THEREFOR I am asking how I can tell which ONE of the 3 (DX/CX/VX) the tranny is???????

Maybe it's because you don't like shifting .

Re: (Bond)
shifting doesnt bother me ...my brother has an si and i drive it all the time. i had to make that decision becuase its just me and my lil boy and i had to go with reliability ... but on another note my friend has a 95 ex coupe with real low miles and we race to see how much of a diffence the ex tranny is to my dx tranny with a d15b swap till this day he still hasnt won he has aem intake,dc headers, and tenzo exhuast. all my **** is cheap ebay bolt ons.....plus hes been driving a stick all his life this is my first 5spd
