2 issues; Rattle when AC is on, and E-brake light turns on when I accelarate hard
Need some help please,
For the past 2 weeks, every time I turn on my AC, I get a low rattle when around 1k-2k, at the higher RPM's the rattle is gone. If I leave the AC on for a while, the rattle progresses, and can be heard at idle. The sound is coming near the AC compressor, and at first I thought it was a loose bolt. But I checked all the bolts and they are fine. Is it possible that it could be the compressor itself?
My second issue, is that whenever I accelarate a little hard, my ebrake light on my instrument cluster will light up. This only happens in 1st or 2nd gear. has this happened to anyone else? It is getting very annoying.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

the brake light comes when your fluid is low in the reservoir on the m/c that is connected to brake booster
ill bet the brake light is coming on bc when you accelerate hard it moves the fluid around in the reservoir. Just top it off, b/c its prolly low and it will solve that problem.

The compressor bearing on the compressor shaft is bad, and will require a new bearing at the least. Do NOT confuse this bearing with the idler bearing, which allows the A/C pulley to freewheel when not in use, once the compressor turns on, a clutch locks the idle pulley to the pump, and it then runs on the compressor bearing. It would be a good practice to replace both.
I'm having the same problem, except my brake light doesn't go off. Only when I come to a stop sometimes. Then when I accelerate, it goes back on. Is the solution going to work for this too? Thx
