cluster change
SO, my cluster broke and I bought a new one. I also bought glow gauges. MY question is how do you take off the needle to put on the glow gauges? MY car is a 95 honda accord ex four door.
I've never put any overlays on my clusters so I'm not 100% sure but I want to say I've read on here that removing the needles can damage it. Do some searching in the archives, I've know I've read about it before.
yeah i found out that they just pull off. you have to be gentle to not bend the tip that moves it and mark where it hits the 0 mark to know how to put it back. I dont mind taking the risk of breaking it, if I know how to do it the next time.

yes it will. but the guages you bought dont need the needle removed in order to put them in place. You can slide the needle through the hole. And the hole should be big enough to fit over the needle mount.

do it right the first time and there wont be a need for a second time. Besides you would probably end up buying specific gauges if you broke the first one. Individual components for cluster gauges are not sold by Honda or any other manufacturer.

dont get it twisted coco, i didnt break them it broke all on its own.: ) should is the key word because i tried and it did fit over. Plus when i put it one one of the screw holes didnt fit correctly so i had to drill through to make it happen. Then the cheap material was to wavy to make the needles fall back to place so here i am trying to glue the s*@t. LOL any suggestions?

i had the same problem.....holes were way off location, the wires were coming off the plates in the wrong spot. It looked like ***........so i didnt install them.
Hey man I installed my own overlays, on my 94 Accord Ex 2Dr Coupe. It wasn't hard at all. The holes are big enough to go over the needle without taking them off, but you must becareful. the screw holes should line up right, if they dont then the company that made your overlays where off a little. Send them back, if the wire comes off the wrong way dont trip all you have to do is be creative! gently place them behind the the next gage, but neatly not shitty ok! you will be fine after that mine looks great took 30 min. and I was done and ready to ride!!!
