Default Electronically Increasing Miles On Odometer

Hey,

Last year I remember finding a thread about how to electronically roll back your odometer. I searched for an hour and can't find it. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I've got a GSR cluster in my EG with 60,000miles on it. My car has 255,000miles on it. I've got VA inspection this weekend and need to roll forward my new cluster to make it pass. I don't want to just use a sharp pointed piece and push the numbers up.

Thanks.

i always though if you take out the cluster, you can just hook it up to a screwdriver, at least that is what i have heard.

im not exactly sure, but i desticntly remember hearing that you can just hook up a drill to your odometer, and depending on the direction it will increase or decrease, sorry i can't be much more help, but that is all i know....

can't you remove all the numbers from the cluster and just set them to the desired mileage?

hey bud..

just take out your speedo. unsnap the odometer thingy from the gauge itself., look at your drill, and it will all come together on how to do it..... its not that hard...then just snap the odometer thingy back in ..

hey litterbox,

i delete that last post... you dont really need to remove the needle as that thread said.. so heres what i did,

with the speedo mph cover still on. (do not remove the needle) just locate the odometer miles and unsnap it as in this photo. and then take it out.. the numbers can now be freely moved around. then snap it back in.

if you are doing an eg. the numbers will not move around freely and you will need to use a drill. counter in hand drill in the other you get what i mean.. its simple.

remember no need to remove the speedo needle, or cover. just snap the counter off and snap it back in when done....

yea read my last post i had to update it several times bud... changing the integra the numbers are loose as you snap it off.

and if doing this on an eg's gauge the numbers stay together and the drill is needed to move the numbers...
both are easy eitherway..

He's adding miles to his odometer, not taking away.

You cynics, I'm increasing the miles to match my motor. But I found out that they don't record the mileage at VA state safety inspection. Only at emissions inspection, which I have another year before I have to take.
