Default How to go about fixing all this rust :( :(

Yes its a work in progress and cost me only 600 bucks. So Now I need to figure out how to repair that rear quarter panel rust and when you open the driver side door on the bottom(not the door but the inside) there is a good size rust hole. I was kinda thinking about sandblasting the whole body to see where all the rust is. Now i would cut and weld in other crx pieces but crx's are VERY VERY hard to come by here and dont think I could get those rear quarter panel parts. Are there any ways to just stop the rust and weld in a filler plate and then bondo over it without the rust coming back?

Cutting out the entire rusted area and welding in new sheet metal is really the only permanent solution. It will take a lot of shaping and bondo work to get it to look original though.

No, it was going to start raining and I have a car in the garage already so I have to spray some sealer on it.

also if ur car has rust, especially on a crx, it doesnt look like much, but then i removed my sideskirts and it was chipping away and whole were EVERYWHERE. shops can just replace it all with new sheet metal, and they can do it pretty fast, i got quoted 600 all for just weld and shape, then i prime and paint it

This was my first time doing this, but what is weld thru Primer? I used a primer/sealer, just like if I was going to paint it.
