Post-Manual pedal swap issues
Just swapped the auto pedal assmebly for the manual assembly. Everything is fine except for the gas pedal. It has like 2 inches to travel. I was wondering if I al the only person with this issue. Everything is bolted down correctly.
The gas pedal has 2 inches of travel from release to FLOOR.
Any advice/hints?

no its something mechanical of some kind.
the throttle cable is completely slack (no motor in car).
The gas pedal travels 1.5-2 inches from the bumper to the floor.

Well since the gas pedal isn't spring loaded, it might be getting caught up where it locks into the assembly. I forgot when I did my auto-manual swap, but you really gotta get down there witha flashlight and look for hangups. It could even be hitting carpet or a wire.
im absolutely positive that the highest point the pedal can go (like you dont have your foot on it) is being stopped by the bumper on the assembly itself.
and 1.5-2 inches later it is the floor. Its not getting hung up on anything.

I decided to keep the gas pedal from my auto cluster and install it on my manual cluster so that I could retain the throttle cable I had. Your gas pedal needs to match your throttle cable (manual vs. auto).

i left the gas pedal/throttle cable from the auto set up and just put it on the new assembly.
This is NOT about the throttle cable. That cable is completely slack the entire time because its not hooked up to anything.
