Which MSD ignition for nitrous?
96 accord with 98 h22a and right now a small 35hp shot. Will go up to 50hp, then 75hp for the track. Which ignition system do you recommend for nitrous? 6A, 6AL, 6BTM(believe this is useful only for boost), or the 6 digital plus (has retarding ability. Also, how do I know how much to retard the timing?
Thanks
Thanks
I don't feel that an ignition is necessary, but that's my opinion. The stock ignition works quite well, even with a large shot of nitrous.
Are you saying that there is no need for retarding the ignition timing with nitrous?
No. Me and Dunreit are saying that unless you are making double the engines stock HP, stock ignition will treat you right.
DISCLAIMER: Use colder plugs with nitrous, always.
Yeah, if you want burnt valves, listen to Dunreit and Accord94DX. If you want to run n20 safely, follow the manufacturers guidlines and retard your ignition with a digital 6 plus 2 degrees for every 50 shot of n20.

Yeah, totally. ****, i guess the fact Ive been running zex for over a year now with my stock ignition is totally worthless then, huh?
edit, ignition retard is a givin with the nitrous kit, a expensive "brick" with MSD written on isnt necessary. http://www.zex.com/support/technical/
