sp i was going to clean my filter when i noticed that a small hole in the filter. i can only guess it was a mouse or something. anyways, my question is can i still use it or do i need a new one. thanks
Hey that looks like an A/C autotechnic filter. LOL!
No you can't. There is not a hole. You can reuse it when you find a way to cover that up.

As cheap as they are get a new filter.
I have seen guys use RTV on them though to plug small holes, but then you run the risk of it breaking loose and getting sucked into the motor. Again, I'd replace it.
Make sure you have nothing touching the filter! It doesn't take much to cause that. A vacuum hose or a wiring harness rubbing back and forth could do that too.
