How do you seal the oil pan gasket ??
mine is leaking again.
last time I put some heat-resistant silicone on the round sides only, but it's leaking again .. after one year or so. Damn.

supposed to use liquid gasket just on the cornerrs. if you are having trouble again its very likely 1 of 2 things.
1) you need a new gasket, yours is bad
2) you are pressurizing the crankcase too much and its pushing oil out the gasket.
if#2 is the case, work on your crankcase ventilation system

all good suggestions.
Been in the same boat.
follow the honda instructions word for word and use an OEM gasket. torque specs are important on an oil pan.

it's not the PCV, and the oil pan is not warped (no hits or anything)
I guess I'll be putting new gasket anyways, but I was trying to see if somebody uses some sort of silicon that helps the sealing, and if yes then what kind.
last time I bought the gasket from advanced auto parts .. Should I go to a dealership for new oil pan gasket ?

I too have used silicone gasket maker on the corners of my pan and then installed the gasket and weeks later it leaks. So after about my 2nd time changing oil pan gasket I decided to do some thing different. I used heavy duty adhesive spray (glue in a spray can) on the edges of the pan. Then Seat the gasket on top and press and let it sit for couple minutes or so. Install and torque in spec and sequence. Done! never leaked on me again.

last I was thinking that I could probably get away without using a gasket at all ... but just silicon the damn pan.

get a oem rubber gasket and put a very light coat of hondabond on both sides.
the main key to keeping the oil pan from leaking is to not overtightening the bolts. they dont need much torque at all. maybe like 9 lbs. anymore than that youll end up with leaks.

make sure when you install the new gasket that you check all the studs. sometimes the metal washers in the gasket rip off when you take the pan down and stick on the studs causing the pan to not seal all the way around no matter if you use silicone/hondabond.
thank you for the responses
I think I have two of the blots not holding at all .. oh well, another thing to fix. I'd like to make it all with studs cause bolts suck
