mini me swap has detonation

Default mini me swap has detonation

i have a DX EG hatch with a d15b7 block an a d16z6 head...running thed 15b7 distributor and intake manifold...with b16 injectors.wen i cruz it "1/4 throttle" it runs "ok" wen i give it gas i hear detonation.....an not much power at all...anyone got any ideas?? p.s " stock ECU an the V-tec is not hooked up yet"

are you meaning the p28 ecu...if so then you need to put some 93 oct gas in it, then you will have to get it tuned...we had spark knock in a friend of mines until we put in some 93 and then after that you can tune the car later for 89 or whatever fuel you want to run.

i have the stock i.5 dx ecu...i think its the p06....i have 93 oct. still detonating..could this be a cam timeing...or mabe ignition...

you might need to pick up a p28 ecu, the best i remember it was the p06 ecu that was giving knock...its not enough fuel for the ignition timing in that motor.

so changing the injectors wont help?...oh an would i have to notch the pistons?i herd that wen in vtec ill hit valves...
