93 Civic Engine Swap Questions
Sup guys, I am doing my first official swap on my 93 Civic DX. I blew out my D15b7 motor. So I am undecided between going with the JDM D15b non-vtec swap or going for the whole 9 yards and getting a USDM D16Z6.
I know that for the Z6 I would need to swap out my P08 ECU for a P28 ECU and also wire up the vtec for the full potential of the motor. Then again for the D15B I would need to swap out carburetor to fuel injection. Is that a hard thing to do with either engine, swapping the ECU or the carburetor to fuel injection?
Also don't refer me to the FAQ section I already checked that, most people are just talking about mini-me's and the other engine swaps that don't include the Dseries. Any help is appreciated.

Re: 93 Civic Engine Swap Questions
So your car is carbureted? Are you in the US because no 93 Civic had carbs here in the US. You can use the Z6 or use the JDM D15B SOHC VTEC as they are pretty much the same deal. You would need the P28 ECU (you have a P06 currently). It pretty much would be a bolt in affair. You would just need to wire in the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch and call it a day.

my car is not carbureted, it's electronic fuel injection based. Also the JDM D15b were created w/ carbs instead of EFI in Japan. I need to swap out that Carb to EFI which is US standard.

that's good man, but like I said it is carb'd, the motors that originally without ****ing with from Japan, did contain a carb systems. The D15b non vtec is a carb'd based motor, if you don't believe me look it up. That's why I am asking if it would be hard to convert the carb'd system to EFI.
