I have a check engine light!!! HELP!!!!!
As of right now, I got a 2000 civic si with a jdm b16a. The guy had it before me had the luxury of taking the check engine light bulb out. Damn *******, but no biggy. I ran the codes on the obd2 computer and it came up with O2 sensor. I was wondering if buying the obd2b to obd1 harness and p28chipped ecu would fix the problem with the check engine light. Is it true that JDM B16A has only one O2 sensor as opposed to the USDM B16A2 have 2?
All advice would help thank you

throw the codes and see if it is your primary or secondary o2 sensor. if it is primary then replace the one that you have on there now because it is bad. if it is secondary you can add another o2 sensor and put in it in the catalytic converter or use your method and get a chipped obd1 p28 and use a jumper harness

Yes the O2 sensor on the bottom of the headers is not there. Luckily I have a set of mugen headers with the O2 sensor on it already.....But on the JDM motor, is the 1 O2 sensor suppose to be in the cat or on the headers?

Header. The O2 in the cat is always a second sensor to verify operation of the cat.
