Default H22A in to a 1996 Civic Hatch? Help Please.

I need to know everyting there is to know about this swap. I just got a JDM H22A for my Civic. It is a OBD1 Engine, and the civic is an OBD2. My biggest questions are on the wireing harnesses. THe h22a has a compleat harness on it. Will that plug in to the civic harness that is under the hood. I know that i will have to get the adapter harness for the ecu. Also I dont know about the shifter cables? How the hell do i dop that? Any help would be great. Thanks alot. Neil

We've done a 96 EK coupe with a 93 OBD-1 H22 motor.... you cannot use the H22 wiring harness but you can/have to use some of the plugs on it (like the distributor plugs) and rewire other things. It can be done, and if you know what you're doing, isn't too bad at all. BTW, running OBD-1 is faster and better feeling than OBD-2, plus less codes/wires to deal with.
