Default INTAKE VALVES

hello all i was wandering and i was told that if i was to turn the intake cam i notch on the gear on the timing belt it would give me more peformance is this true ?? i got a 91 acura integra 1.8 dohc ? thanks and is this true on all dohc moters thanks again TONY

If you mess with it, it could affect the driveability of your car.

It may not idle right, or something like that...

Theyre supposed to be where theyr'e at. Leave them there.

when linning up the timing marks on the cam gears anvance the intake cam gear i notch then put the belt on ? that what i got told to do.will the increce the performance?? thanks

You can advance timing via distributor I believe, but that is it. If you are off just one tooth your car will run like shiat.

I thought I just told you?

Do you have adjustable cam gears?
Do you even know what advancing the cam timing does?
Do you have a dyno to test how much power you are gaining or losing?
Do you have an EGT gauge to show you how the changes you are making are affecting your car?
