when i manually turn the crank its hard at first than all of a sudden gets really soft than requires more force again...isnt it supposed to take some force the entire time?? and a little chunk of my crank pulley is gone(i dont know how that happened but it still works)...any recommendations on a new one?

i did a compression test and it tested 195-200psi across all four...this is on a '94 gsr

 

That is a combination of compression and valve spring tension as it goes thru the 4 stroke cycle, totally normal.
