Default DC/EG/EK h22 swap, how to get A/C to work??? **PICS ADDED**

well after emailing a number of companies about the HCP A/C bracket, and getting the same replies for months (dont have in stock, will be getting soon), i decided to do my own lines...

so far, i have the H22 compressor, up on the engine with the belt, the integra line from the fire wall to the compressor fits on the compressor, i just had to looses the line and rotate it a little. the problem i have now is the line from the condensor to the compressor. i will be using the integra line, and will cut off the part that goes to the compressor and have someone weld the H22 end that fits the compressor.

i'm wondering if anyone here with a H22 swap in a civic or teg has AC, and how they did it. also if my method/plan would work?

bump for someone should copy the HCP bracket or figure out an alternative, anyone who solves this is a hero

sorry to hijack, but isn't the HCP bracket designed to use the Civic/Teg compressor instead of the H? Is this easier for some reason, or did HCP just assume most swaps you buy don't come with A/C so people are using their original parts?

putting the H into my EK hatch over the next couple of weekends, would love to get this bracket/an answer before I finish the swap

The HCP bracket uses the Civic compressor. The HASport one I THINK uses the integra compressor.

I would use the H series one and just have new lines made; any A/C or hydraulic line shop can make them for relatively cheap when you have both the teg/civic and prelude lines. They just need to be joined together, is all.

I'm hoping to keep all the civic parts on mine, just remount the compressor in the correct location on the new engine.

How is AC condensor fitment with the h22 exhaust manifold? any clearance issues there?

I believe I'm putting the H into my EK this weekend so I'll try to take some pictures and post some info on how things go. I'm waiting on my Prelude compressor in the mail, though I've been told there are clearance issues there (which might be fixed by a hammer). If it's not in I'll try to grab a Civic compressor and document that.

EDIT:: "I AM USING A F22B1 COMPRESSOR"

i completed the A/C today, everything seems fine........

After having the H/F swap....
PARTS LIST
-H/F comressor and bracket
-Belt
-H/F High side AC line (low side integra line fits on H/F compressor)

I used the integra line, and just welded the H/F end to it.

Over all it cost me $30 to get the line made.

i dont have a compressor fan on it, and it's REALLY cold...im happy with it...lol..

WILL POST PICS OF IT TONIGHT, OR TOMOR

glad to hear its up and running.

How is the fitment of the compressor/belt with your framerail?

I'm wondering if on my EK I'm going to have room for everything. Does it all fit below the rail?

I'd love to see some pics... More info on how this was done w/ out the bracket. I'm trying to find an h22 to eg a/c bracket w/ obviously no luck. I may have to go your way!

HCP makes a custom bracket for the 92-95 EG civic so you can use your stock d-series compressor that came with the car and mount it to the h22.

Im not sure why HCP dosn't make one for the b-series compressors since all you have to do is move 2 bolt holes on the civic hcp bracket and walla its now a b-series compressor bracket that will fit on your integra. (btw this is how my a/c works in my integra)

Yeah, I've been trying to track down the hcp bracket.... I guess hcp is MIA and it's practically impossible to find them. JDMs**t is out along w/ racingworks. I've been posting like a madman in the WTB's. If anyone has an idea lmk

This is how easy it was......all i had to do is have a guy make me this line, using my integra line, and the accord end.

right now i have a F22B SOHC VTEC engine, but that should be the same for the H22...i hope so..
