clutch pedal going all the way down to the floor and ticking noise from the tranny????
i have a 92 civic dx with an h22a swap in it and yesterday i after i got off the highway my cars clutch pedal didnt work nemore i had fluid in it and when my car is on it will go all the way down to the floor but when its off it will grip like normal.. does anyone know what this might be maybe a line or the clutch cylinder???? and theirs also like a ticking noise and like something hitting a sheet of metal noise coming from my tranny more towards the section that is connecting the tranny to the block then where the gears are.. i read some other topics and most of the time it was a shaft bearing but i also read from someone that my flywheel nut might be loose... i was thinking it might be this because the noise is coming from the far side in the clutch flywheel section??neone know how i would know without takeing the tranny out?
i think, if i remember correctly, there is a cover on the transmission housing that allows you to view the flywheel. If so, look in their to see if the pressure plate came loose. I installed an ACT clutch in my civic, and my dumb *** forgot the loctite on the pressure plate bolts (monkeys chattering!!). It was giving me the exact same problems. Also check to see if there is air in the clutch line. Hit me up to let me know if that helped.
