CEL and Battery Light on, need help
I was driving to work this morning, which is only down the street, but as I was driving I heard a thump and then scraping noise. When I got to work i noticed my heat shield had fallen so I was just gonna worry about it and take it off when I got home from work. Well on my way home I noticed my cel and battery light turn on and after I took the heat shield off the o2 sensor wire was a little scuffed but nothing wrong with it and it was still plugged in.
Has anyone had a similar problem or maybe can think of what the problem can be?
and sorry for the paragraph but i'm a little confused at what the problem can be

Um, check the O2 wire again or have the code scanned. How does a heat sheild fall off? I mean mine had 2 pretty good sized bolts through it if you're talking about the header one.

Well, the gases going through the cat are 2200 degrees and we all know what happens to hot things when cool water hits them (think of when someone in chemistry puts a hot test tube under cool water).
