zc ecu headach

Default zc ecu headach

hello i have a 1993 civic SI with a zc in it ! we currently have a p28 ecu wich is the stock one ... wich ecu should we use for the zc to work best ! do we have to go to obd0 or can we use an obd1 ecu ? does the p28 make it run ok ? im sorry this is a easy question i just need someone to tell me what to do ! thanks !

if its NOT the dohc zc you should be able to run the p28 just fine

wont the vtec make it run rich tho ? how about an ecu from a b18 from integra ?

sorry it is the dohc ZC its not vtec

oh, then you need to either get the one you have chipped/tuned, or get the appropriate ecu.

Though I can see why it would run okay on the dohc zc.

the car is running ok with a p28 we just wana put the right ecu in so we can get the potential out of the zc ! would you know wich obd1 ecu run a zc without the vtec ?

the dohc zc is non-vtec. the p28 is not the right ecu for the dohc zc since it has vtec. i would personaly try an ls ecu

Because that's another SOHC ecu. It's non-vtec, but you'll still not be getting the "potential" you want out of the DOHC ZC until you get the DOHC ZC ECU or ECU maps.
