ZC ECU Compatibility ?
hi all !
my friend have a 1992 eg civic with a ZC engine , he have a trouble with his ECU , and he want to know if he need absolutely to remplace it by a ZC ECU , or another ECU can be installed on his engine ?

Hmmmm I guess that depends on which version ZC he has. My first guess is that it's a SOHC VTEC ZC, in which case I think the P28 should work (that's we have in the US for the EX trim level, D16Z6 engine which is basically the same as the SOHC VTEC ZC).

Oh man, I'm assuming it's OBD1 then as well since it's in a 92-95 body. We didn't have a similar motor like that since the 89 integra. Wish I could help. I could only guess that an OBD1 Integra LS ECU might work (PR4 or P75 I think is the designation). I couldn't say for certain though as I've never seen an OBD1 DOHC ZC around here. If it's wired the same as any other EG than I guess aside from the LS ECUs the Civic DX/LX ECU could possibly work but I'm not sure if it would run properly as far as fuel maps are concerned.
